| Three cases of phytobezoar of the small intestine diagnosed preoperatively by ultrasound are presented. Phytobezoar was observed as an intraluminal mass with an echogenic are 0.5-1cm thick. casting a clear acoustic shadow. Intestinal juice within the distended proximal bowel passed into the distal bowel lumen around the shadowing mass. |
