A 39-year-old woman presented with a rapidly growing nodule on the right thumb.
An ultrasound study demonstrated a mass located in the deep subcutaneous tissue
on the ulnar side of the interphalangeal joint. Incisional biopsy yielded the diagnosis of
nodular fasciitis. We discuss the ultrasound appearance of nodular fasciitis as reported
in the literature and how to make the differential diagnosis of an echogenic finger
mass. |
