| Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Urinary Bladder Manifested as an Abdominal Mass: A Case Report |

| Recently, we experienced a case of a rhabdomyosarcoma of the urinary bladder, which manifested as an abdominal
mass in the prevesical space in a 21-month-old boy. The ultrasound and CT images revealed this tumor as a
large, well-defined mass with a heterogeneous internal architecture abutting the dome of the urinary bladder.
During the ultrasound examination, this tumor was found to grow superiorly from the urinary bladder to the umbilicus
level, but could be separated from the small bowel loops. This tumor was removed surgically, and a histological
examination proved it to be an embryonal type of rhabdomyosarcoma. |
